This security feature is implemented for DoorDash customers to avoid the order not being delivered. This is a temporary feature that should disappear once DoorDash can confirm your orders are being delivered successfully.
How To Add Your Signature
Once a dasher arrives at the drop-off location, the Dasher will be prompted to begin the signature process and will have the customer sign on the DoorDash app. Once you’ve signed tap the “I have received this order” button to confirm delivery to be instructed to pass the phone back to the Dasher.

What If You Can’t Sign For Reasons Such As Illness Or Mobility Issues
If you can’t sign reasons such as illness or mobility issues, you can communicate this with your Dash and request them to complete an alternative drop-off method by taking a photo of the drop-off location and waiting 5 minutes.
