How To Unassign A DoorDash Order

  1. Open Help Menu: On your active order screen, tap the ? (Help) button in the top right corner.
  2. Select Option: Choose Can’t do this order or the appropriate problem category (e.g., Issue with store or Safety Issues).
  3. Select a Reason: Pick the exact reason that prompted the cancellation (e.g., extremely long wait times, store closed, or an unexpected conflict).
  4. Confirm Unassignment: Follow the prompts to select Unassign Order and confirm your decision. The delivery will then be dropped from your queue and sent to another driver.

How To Unassign After Picking Up The Food

  1. Tap the ? (help) icon and select Store has an issue.
  2. Choose Order has already been picked up or the specific emergency category.
  3. Select Unassign with No Pay.
