3. Pikes Peak
Pikes Peak is the highest summit of the southern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in North America. The ultra-prominent 14,115-foot fourteener is located in Pike National Forest, 12 miles west of downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado. There are two ways you can to the summit house on top, The Pikes Peak Highway, or The Cog Railway.

Pikes Peak Highway is a 19-mile paved toll road to the summit of Pikes Peak. Built in 1915, this winding road is the perfect scenic drive, offering views of lakes, mountains, wildlife, and the surrounding area, ultimately leading to the Summit House of Pikes Peak.

Cog Railway
The Cog Railway is the world’s highest cog train that takes families to the 14110 foot summit of America’s Mountain, Pikes Peak, Colorado.

The Summit House is a gift house located on the top of Pikes Peak America’s Mountain. You can buy donuts, fudge and gifts at 14015 feet with a view too!
