How Does Uber Eats Work For Customers?

Uber Eats like ride-hailing apps pairs users with nearby drivers. However, rather than receiving rides from these drivers, customers receive food at their specified location.Once a user logs into the app, they can select different food items from the menus of their favorite local restaurants. After a user places their order, the selected restaurant will accept the order and begin preparing your food. Then an Uber Eats delivery partner will be dispatched to pick up the order and deliver it to your location.

What Is Uber One?

It’s a subscription option that gives customers access to benefits such as savings on rides and orders. The monthly memberships is available for $9.99 and annual memberships at $99.99.

Members of the subscription program will receive a $0 delivery fee on eligible restaurant orders over $15 and grocery orders over $30. Members also receive 5% off eligible orders for restaurants, alcohol, and other stores marked with the Uber One icon. With the Uber One Promise on eligible deliveries, subscribers will receive $5 in Uber Cash if their Latest Arrival estimate (shown after you place your order) is wrong.

Members also get most rides at a 5% discount. The 5% discount will not apply to shared rides or rides booked 30 minutes or more in advance.
