How to Request a Ride or Sitter on The Kango App

Open the app and go to the Kango home screen. Tap the icon that corresponds to what you need: Drivers for rides, or Sitters for childcare.
Fill out the Quick Request Form. Select one or more children, and add location details and any special needs.
Your request will go out to pre-screened drivers and sitters in your area. If you expressed a preference for specific providers, they will receive your request first. Once a driver or sitter accepts, you will get an app notification and can message them directly.

Is Kango Safe?

Yes, each driver or sitter must pass Kango’s Safety Check in order to be approved to drive or babysit.

Trustline certification in California (includes fingerprinting).
Background check (includes criminal and sex offender searches from multiple states, counties and databases as well as check for multiple aliases).
DMV check (from multiple states, counties and databases).
Vehicle inspection.
Phone screen.
Two reference checks.
In-person interview.

Note: All drivers and sitters must complete in-person training before becoming available for booking. Parents can also request to meet their driver or sitter ahead of time so that both they and their child feel comfortable. You can even go for a ride-along with a driver at no cost.
